Jefferson Magalhães Pinheiro The original one was already so good, it was hard imagining how to make it better and yet they did! Deeper and richer sound all around. Favorite track: The Price I (10th Anniversary Edition).

Dark, still is the sound Eyes, red break the blackness This heart, sustained Cleansing the dirty, the stained Rise, above all the weak This work, nothing yet complete And I feel that And I think that And I know that I’m gonna Live forever
3.
I can feel the air, pressing me down It’s hot and we can’t breathe The light is so bright, it burns out our eyes It sears off our skin I watch you fade away, shatter like glass With empty eyes A warm wave washes us away A final goodbye Fade out, lights out Stay close to me love We’ll brave this fi re on our knees Ashes to ashes Life to dust Someday to rise Like a flame We’ve built this fate From science and god, an alchemy of fear A race of billions too blind to see Too fucking deaf to hear We are deserving Extinction Decimating flood We are still gripping, stilted to hatred Wading in this blood Fade out, lights out Stay close to me love We’ll brave this fire on our knees Ashes to ashes Life to dust Someday to rise Like a flame Pillars of atom fill the skyline Seas turn to blood, that bathes the coast Obey the waves, they’ll guide you home Before the tempest, after the storm
4.
Blackened waves, dark as coal Cannot tell the summer from the fall Craters spread like scars across the earth Sun no longer burns Soil is ash, the dust is rain The world I knew will never be the same Fumes of searing fl sh fill the air Breathe in The season ends, as hot and cold begin to meld Beyond a reason why It’s over A means to an end The grip of death still grasps your hand And drags you to your knees Say your prayers A ruin, so vast and absolute Nothing seems to breathe Nothing grows out here A place, where each and every soul Has paid a price too bold They all should have known You reap what you have sown Pay! Your lives will all end here The sky begins to breathe A wanton tragedy Soar Right through the ash and fi re Smoldering the liars That brought it to its knees
5.
Right before the ash I could see the sky I could watch the stars as they slowly died I could taste the rain, I could touch the earth Now there’s only flames, watch them slowly burn You were once here, you cannot return You were by my side you cannot return No longer alive, everything has died The dust of what was fills the air tonight. Feel something for me Something Real, unlike the seas Dead and cold, bloody shores And silence Your face haunts my dreams Sometimes It feels, like I’m in a deep spiral down Shackled bound But I’ll carry on with your memory Colors once were bright now they slowly fade Monuments of man crumbling away I could watch the sun through the window pane See it rise and fall every single day You were with me, you cannot return You were by my side, you cannot return No longer alive, everything has died The dust of what was fills the air tonight. Feel something for me Something Real, unlike the seas Dead and cold, bloody shores And silence Your face haunts my dreams Sometimes It feels, like I’m in a deep spiral down Shackled bound But I’ll carry on with your memory And it keeps me strong I will clutch onto the visions left in me Take on anyone and anything left in my way I’ll keep focus on the horizontal line Once I’m done, they will finally see Your fates are aligned The end that you’ve designed For yourself It’s what you’ve left for me
6.
And in my dreams I can see your face Taken away from me In a nuclear haze But I can’t see The shape of things to come I hope to feel The depths of oblivion I want to need, a hunger to feed on I want to have nothing left A body that’s broken and spent A desire to bleed, to feel defeated I want to feel anything In this shell that I’m living in I wish you could waste With me Witness the fall of things To be Witness it all Coming down Coming down So beautifully What’s it gonna take? For the world to be, broken in two I’d find them all, destroy them for you Until there’s nothing left to break To break How’s it gonna be? When your power is gone? When the chains are bound? When your minds are torn? When you’re powerless Powerless To stop What is coming for you I am coming for you
7.
Take a little bit It’s only temporary Pain, the feel of it The taste of everything The way the radiance Burns like the sunlight on my face So delicate Let the skin burn away Expose the skeleton Feeling the body break and fail In unison Rebuild and replicate Reject the irrelevant Accept the circumstantial fate I close my eyes and wait Complications rise Witness the failing of the mind Convoluted lies Replace the memory inside Awake, and see again As if I’m learning how to use My eyes again As if the whole of the world Was hued with red Flashes of momentary pain Fill my body again I can feel it now The balance shifts The pulse is quick The air is thick And in front of me I see Faces staring at me A cold chill gripping me They’ve got me under again Complications rise Witness the failing of the mind Convoluted lies Replace the memory inside Give me a reason to believe Give me a reason to comply I’ll dream of waking up And taking you all down with me Your lives are on the edge Ending all that I will see Your powers useless now The situation way too far The box is open now I’m the end of all that you are
8.
Do you understand? Does it give you pause? Does it really matter now? Knowing that everything, everything’s gone? How do I go from here? Can I find a place? Somewhere to find myself And make it the way it was before it began? I don’t wanna be alone again I don’t wanna feel anything at all I don’t wanna see fire again Nothing but bullets and blood on the floor This has to be undone This gift that was given to me Just so I can see her face again This is how it has to be Place, your useless faith In what you are, all that you are You will feel loss, you don’t belong Silence and fear, drags you along I’m going to be, the last thing you feel The last thing you see, fester and grow Did you know, that you will break I am an end of all end of you Hey Does this make you feel powerless? Does this make you feel something less Than the pain will allow So taste The hate and anger you’ve put in me Does this make you feel anything More than I am allowing you to feel
9.
I can see her light I was hoping to see it shine The way that she came to me Is everything I’ve known, for so long If I could have saved her life Would she have given me the time to try It’s everything That I wanted to see Try and break free from the chains that you have made from a lie I will end life, I’ll end your life, you had too much and I will take it away So beg for me as you plead on bloody knees for my mercy There will be none, there will be none, you signed yourself away when you made me You should have seen the signs As the walls fell down around you As these hands, clutched all your throats And twisted spines of those involved Something no one has seen But I will make you understand Stand in awe, of my form And breathe in
10.
Look at my face, look at my fucking face You’re telling lies, like I anticipated I want to know, what has become of me I want to hear it from your mouth again And now.... a time to obey Your body trembles as I raise my fist again A taste, a taste, a taste, a taste, I just want a fucking taste It’s the end of the line You’ll atone for what you’ve made I never wanted any of this This is now a price you pay So when you feel it in your bones And then you feel it in your mind Take a breath Accept your fate Your time is almost near Breathe In the air And it let it flow Flow into your veins Accept the suffering
11.
I stand on the edge I look at the shore The clouds break the horizon Stabbing at the sun A grain on the beach I’m prepared for the plunge As the wind greets my face I’m the only one I won’t be coming back The trip is too long The hour is late I’m where I belong I’ve made my mistakes Never paid my dues I’ve left the box open I’ve left the screws loose I don’t want any answers I’ve asked for too long I’ve danced all your dances I’ve sang all the songs I’ve sang all the songs I wait on the shoreline Stay here til I rust I’ll keep my hands open I’ll keep my eyes shut I won’t be coming back The road is too long The hour is late I’m already home

about

In celebration of AION's 10th anniversary (originally released April 18, 2012 - time flies!!!), we have decided to revisit it and give it some TLC.

The album is not a remaster. It's a re-recorded and revitalized record.

Drums, guitars, bass, vocals have all been revamped; some new elements have been added; some parts have been re-approached. In the end though, it is a version of our debut that we are extremely proud of and really enjoyed putting together. It also allows us to hear how far our sound has come since those earlier days.

We also tossed in an instrumental version of the record here as well!

We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!
